Health & Safety Health & Safety Program
Accident prevention is a primary goal of Batten Drilling and its employees.
We understand that our industry is subject to many hazardous conditions. In an effort to eliminate the hazards, it is crucial to recognize what must be done to protect our employees and others on jobsites. A safety inspection of each jobsite is conducted prior to beginning all work and recommended actions to eliminate or minimize hazards are discussed with all employees on site. All employees are provided with proper personal protective equipment and are required to use the equipment at all times while performing their job. No employee is required to perform work deemed unsafe.
Management is committed to providing adequate training and education to all employees to do their job safely. All employees are instructed to follow safety rules, regulations, and procedures as set down by Batten Drilling. In addition to in-house safety training, Batten provides OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety and Heath Training to all employees. Depending on job duties, employees complete Rigger and Signalman Certification, NCCO Crane Operator Certification, OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Safety and Health Training, and First Aid/CPR, among others.
